Police said several school-aged girls had reported a man driving his vehicle close to them, in the unincorporated communities of Aloha and Cedar Hills, and exposing himself for sexual gratification.

Owen Youngblood, 26, of Albany, was arrested on eight counts of indecent exposure.

The first reported incident happened on January 5, 2009 and others occurred later in January and in early February.

The girls said they were walking home from school when it happened and he slowly drove past them several times, staring at them as he exposed himself, according to Sgt. David Thompson with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Police said this was the car used in the incidents.

One of the girls was able to remember the license plate number and reported it to a police officer at her school.

The car was registered in the City of Albany to Owen Youngblood and he was arrested at his work, near SW Jenkins Road and SW Murray Boulevard, Thompson said. Youngblood lives on SW Elm Street in Albany. His car was also seized.

Youngblood spoke to detectives and admitted that he had exposed himself to the girls in the reported cases. He also gave investigators information that made them believe there were several additional unreported cases, according to Thompson.

Detectives were asking that anyone with more information contact their local police department. They said Youngblood drove a maroon four-door 1995 Saab 900 and he had a black goatee at the time.

Meantime, Youngblood was booked into the Washington County Jail and was later released after posting bail.
