HERMISTON, Ore. -- The Oregon State Police says a woman died in a head-on crash on Highway 22E about six miles east of Detroit.

Cynthia Lee White, 42, of Redmond, was driving her Ford Mustang eastbound on Highway 22E near milepost 59 when she lost control on a curve, crossed the center line, and crashed head-on into a westbound Toyota Avalon.

White was pronounced dead at the scene. She was using safety restraints but had been driving with a suspended license, police said.

The Toyota's driver, Roger McJunkin, 62, and passenger Sandra McJunkin, 51, both from Bend suffered non-life threatening injuries and were transported to Santiam Hospital in Sayton for treatment. Both were using safety restraints.

Police say the Hermiston girl was trying to cross five lanes of Highway 395.
