Assistant U.S. Attorney Claire M. Fay says Carrithers had initially been accused of evading taxes from 1998 through 2001. The total tax loss for all four years was $93,714.47.
Fay says Carrithers tried to evade taxes in 2000 by using two different social security numbers for employment and income tax purposes, and by using bank accounts held in the names of others to conceal income and assets.
