By ADRIANE HORNER, kgw.com Staff

A Redmond-area man with a blood alcohol level nearly four times the legal limit was arrested early Sunday after a crash on Highway 97 between Deschutes Junction and Redmond.

Oregon State Police

The driver was charged with DUII after the crash when officers discovered he had a blood alcohol level nearly four times the legal limit.

According to an OSP Sergeant on scene, 24-year-old Guadalupe Enriquez of Redmond was northbound on Highway 97 when he passed another motorist and then drove off the east shoulder.

His Dodge Durango continued another three hundred feet off the shoulder before striking a driveway and becoming airborne.

The vehicle flew over the driveway and partially landed on a rock wall.

Enriquez sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash but was airlifted to St. Charles Medical Center in Bend for treatment.

Enriquez was charged with DUII, driving while suspended and reckless endangerment of another person.
