Old Town drug sting leads to 158 arrests

Undercover police officers made 158 arrests during a drug sting in Portland’s Old Town, authorities said Tuesday.

Neighbors had complained to police after they noticed a jump in drug deals in the Old Town and China Town areas.

In addition to the 158 arrests, officers wrote 34 citations.

This year's sweep was similar to what happened during a police crackdown last year after crime rates increased in downtown Portland.
