HILLSBORO – Deputies Thursday night arrested a suspected teen gang member accused of stabbing an Aloha high school student at an apartment complex last month.

Rolando Tijerina, 17, was arrested on an attempted murder warrant, said Washington County Sheriff’s Sgt. David Thompson.

The 16-year-old victim was stabbed multiple times during a fight on September 11 at 5400 S.W. 180th Avenue in Aloha.

A tip led deputies to the suspect Thursday night. When they approached, Tijerina ran. Deputies later found him hiding under a car in the 18100 block of S.W. Blanton Street, Thompson said.
