HILLSBORO -- Police arrested two teenagers for a brutal attack on two kids at a Washington County MAX stop last week.

A 16- and 15-year-old were arrested for attacking the boys as they walked home from the Quatama MAX Station on October 22. One of the victims had a fractured skull after being hit on the head with a hammer, police said.

A 16-year-old was arrested Saturday after a police chase in Forest Grove, where officers said he tried to ram police cars.

Information led police to arrest a 15-year-old suspect Monday night. A third person was interviewed about the attack, but not arrested.

One of the suspects told police he was a gang member.

Both of the teens were charged as adults with assault.
