HILLSBORO -- Three men were sentenced for their part in the terrifying robbery at an 86-year-old Bethany woman's home.

Two men wearing ski masks climbed into the woman's home through an open window. Then, they shined a flashlight in her eyes to wake her up, locked her in her bathroom and started going through her belongings.

A while later, the men opened the bathroom door and pointed a knife on the woman when she failed to find the key to an antique safe in her closet.

Eventually, the woman was locked back in the bathroom while the robbers stole her safe along with cash and family heirlooms and then escaped. She was very shaken up but not hurt.

The suspects were eventually captured and tried in court. Antonio Mayes, 18, Philip Marvin, 28, and Brian Pham, 17, were convicted of kidnapping and robbery.

Pham was sentenced to 100 months, or just over eight years behind bars. His sentence was longer than the other two accomplices because he was the one who threatened the woman with the knife.

Marvin was sentenced Tuesday to 7.5 years after he pleaded guilty to robbery, kidnapping, burglary, unlawful use of a weapon and aggravated theft.

Mayes was also sentenced last week to 7.5 years after he pleaded guilty to robbery, kidnapping, burglary, unlawful use of a weapon and aggravated theft.
