The burned house.
Deputies responding to an arson report at SW 214th Avenue in Aloha found the house and two vehicles parked in the driveway -- a Toyota Land cruiser and a GMC bus -- burned.
All three were extensively damaged, said Sgt. Bob Ray, spokesman for the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
No one was in the house or the vehicles at the time of the fire, Ray said.
During their investigation, deputies learned that a young boy with a lighter had been spotted in the area shortly before the fire.
They contacted an 11-year-old boy who lives close to the burned house and determined he had intentionally started the fire.
Due to his age, the boy’s name was not released.
Deputies recommend he be charged with arson and criminal mischief.
