Man assaulted in Old Town, hospitalized with serious injuries

A man was assaulted in northwest Portland Monday morning and hospitalized with possible life-threatening injuries, police said.

Officers were called to the 400 block of Northwest Glisan Street in Old Town about 10:45 a.m. and determined that 40-year-old Lee Wimbish had been assaulted by one or more suspects.
Wimbish was transported to Legacy Emanuel Hospital. Due to the severity of his injuries, homicide detectives were called to conduct an investigation.
