HILLSBORO -- They allegedly beat up children, knocked a teenager unconscious and broke a man's nose.

Why?

Police believe it was all for thrills.

The violent spree occurred Monday night up and down 185th in Hillsboro. The suspects, 21-year-old Thomas Arthur, 20-year-old Kristoffer Bock and Bock’s 17-year-old brother Cory, were looking for easy targets, according to police.

“They wanted me to buy stuff from them like Ecstasy and weed and I told them, ‘No,’ “ a 15-year-old victim told KGW.

"I remember taking one step off the bus and before I even touched the pavement, everything went blank… the first time I woke up, I saw a fist. The second time I woke up there was a puddle of blood and them running off,” the victim said. He was attacked at the Willow Creek Transit Center.

Ten minutes later, a 16-year-old was pushed to the ground for his hat and his 15-year-old friend was knocked down for a $4 marker.

The attacks began at 6:40 p.m. The suspects punched a 20-year-old man near 185th and Cornell, breaking his nose, for a cell phone, police said.

Police believe wanting to fight, not theft, was the main motive.

The spree ended when officers finally caught up with the trio minutes after their last reported attack.

Detectives believe the suspects stole about $200. They were each jailed on $25,000 bail.

If convicted, they could face nearly six years in prison.

All of the victims are expected to recover.
