Harassment call leads to stabbing in Beaverton
01:35 PM PST on Monday, January 28, 2008
BEAVERTON, Ore. -- A 20-year-old Beaverton man was charged with attempted murder after police said he tried to stab someone at an apartment complex Sunday night.
Police said they were called to the complex on SW Farmington Road after a caller complained of harassment.
Beaverton Police
Officers identified 20-year old Stephen Renee Peterson as the suspect, and he was kicked off of the property. But just one hour later officers were called back to a report of a stabbing in the parking lot.
Police found 23-year old Richard Davies of Beaverton with a stab wound to his chest.
Police said Davies and Peterson knew each other and the stabbing was related to the previous harassment call. Peterson was later arrested at a home on SW Windjammer Court.
Davies suffered life threatening injuries and underwent emergency surgery, police said.
Peterson charged with assault and attempted murder.
