A Hillsboro reality TV star’s trial started Tuesday in Washington County.

Matt Roloff was arrested and cited for DUII.

Matt Roloff -- who is featured in the cable show "Little People, Big World" -- is charged with drunk driving.

Jury selection began Tuesday afternoon, and opening statements were given by the arrestting officer and the defense.

As part of the testimony, a Washington County sheriff's deputy detailed Roloff's failed field sobriety test.

Police arrested Roloff in June for allegedly driving drunk near Helvatia. His attorney said Roloff was exhausted from a trip with his family and a film crew. They said Roloff was driving erratically because he was in his wife's custom vehicle, which they said he was not accustomed to operating.

It was Roloff's second run-in with police. In 2003, he had a drunk driving charge dismissed after completing an alcohol diversion program.

Roloff, his wife and their four kids are featured on the cable reality show.
