PORTLAND -- The FBI seeks public assistance catching a bank robber nicknamed “Mullet Man,” who they believe is responsible for at least two bank robberies and three attempted bank robberies in the Portland metro area this week.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation dubbed the robber “Mullet Man” because of the hairstyle of a wig he was wearing. They said he robbed a Wells Fargo bank branch in Tualatin and then attempted to rob a Key Bank branch in northeast Portland Monday.

The FBI also believe he robbed a Bank of America branch in Vancouver and may be linked to an attempted heist at an electric workers’ credit union in southeast Portland, both on Wednesday.

“Mullet Man” also is believed responsible for the hold-up of a Fred Meyer Employee Credit Union branch in southeast Portland Wednesday.

The suspect wore what appears to be a long-haired wig in several of the robberies and attempts.

Authorities describe the suspect as a white male in his mid 40s, approximately 5’9” tall with a slender build and weighing about 160 pounds.

Anyone with information on the robberies, attempts or suspect is asked to alert the FBI in Portland at (503) 224-4181 or the FBI in Vancouver at (360) 695-5661.
