Authorities believe the suspected serial burglar may fit this description.
PORTLAND -- Washington County sheriffs believe a serial burglar is on the loose and are asking for the public’s help in nabbing him.
Detectives have noticed a trend in burglaries dating back to July. Someone has been breaking into private homes during the day, gaining entry through open or unlocked windows often in the back, or by removing sliding glass doors.
The perpetrator then takes items that are popular but not easily traceable, including video games, DVDs and jewelry, police say.
During one incident, investigators believed a house guest actually made contact with the thief, giving authorities enough information to create a sketch.
Most of the burglaries have been located east of SW Murray Boulevard, west of Highway 217, south of Highway 26 and north of S Canyon Road, according to detectives.
Anyone with information on the thief or thefts is encouraged to contact Washington County sheriffs at (503) 846-2601.
