Pedestrians hit by car along SR 14 in Vancouver

VANCOUVER, Wash. -- A car hit two men walking along State Route 14 in Vancouver Friday morning and they were both rushed to a local hospital.
Police said the pedestrians were walking on or near the right shoulder of the busy roadway, near the City Center exit, just after 8 a.m. when the small car struck them.
One man was thrown onto the windshield of the car and seriously injured, police said. He was rushed to SW Washington Medical Center for treatment. The other pedestrian suffered minor leg injuries and was also taken to the hospital by ambulance.
The driver of the car was not injured.
Police said an investigation continued and so far, no citations were issued.
