VANCOUVER, Wash. -- A body pulled from waters at the confluence of the Willamette and Columbia rivers Monday night was identified as William Small, 19, whose body washed away last week, according to sheriff's deputies.
Small disappeared on June 24 while swimming near Frenchman's Bar with friends.
The Skyview High School graduate had been in the Columbia River with three other friends, according to Clark County. When Small went under the water's surface he never came back up, according to statements from his friends.
The body found Monday night was spotted by a sail boat.
A medical examiner determined Small's death was an accidental drowning.
