LONGVIEW, Wash. -- Police in Longview were looking for one or more serial tire slashers after a rash of vandalism in one neighborhood Saturday.

According to the Longview Daily News, 37 cars were hit in the neighborhood near Lake Sacajawea, totaling more than $14,000 in damage.

Investigators told the paper they think the crimes were random.

Police said many car insurance plans don’t cover such damage, but victims should file police reports in case homeowners or property policies would.
