Man stabbed in parking lot at Vancouver Fred Meyer

VANCOUVER, Wash. – A man was stabbed during an attempted robbery in the parking lot of a Vancouver Fred Meyer Thursday evening, police said.

Officers used a dog to try to find the attacker but the suspect got away.

It happened about 6:30 p.m. at the store in the 2500 block of southeast Columbia Way.

The victim is expected to survive, according to police.
