Two men suspected of preying on elderly NW victims
12:07 PM PDT on Thursday, April 10, 2008
LONGVIEW, Wash. -- Deputies were spreading the word to other agencies up and down the I-5 corridor Thursday about two theft suspects of targeting the elderly.
On Tuesday, a Cowlitz County deputy was called to a Kalama home by a man who said the two men claimed to be brothers and requested to fix his chimney and roof. The victim refused, and told police the men stole gasoline before taking off.

Minutes later, police said two men with similar descriptions went to a Kelso woman’s home. She brought them water but said when they left, her purse was missing.
They were described as white men in their mid-30s, with medium builds and dark hair. One was about 6-foot-2 and the other was about 5-foot-10. They drove a small dark-colored pickup with OR plates 370DNW, police said.
Anyone with information in the case was asked to call police.
