Party 'gone bad' ends in drive-by shooting
12:14 PM PDT on Sunday, April 6, 2008
VANCOUVER, Ore. -- Police in Vancouver were looking for clues to a drive-by shooting after what they called a Friday night birthday party gone bad.
It happened around midnight near E. 17th Street and E Street during a fight involving about 50 people, Vancouver police said.
Officers said someone leaving the party started getting phone calls from a blocked number, indicating the caller might shoot at the house.

Most of the people eventually left the party, but about an hour later a neighbor reported gunshots coming from a small white two-door pick-up, police said.
Officers did not find the truck but found bullet holes and smashed glass at a business at 500 E. 17th Street.
No one was hurt, but officers said they found evidence the building had been shot at. Anyone with information was asked to call police.
