A Hazel Dell man’s seeing-eye dog escaped Friday morning, leaving the man and his family desperate to find the canine. Hours after KGW ran the story, the dog and owner were reunited.

Clifford Hawkins, 70, was letting his yellow lab, Tucson, out when the dog somehow got away.

The family was worried that someone might steal the friendly Labrador.

They contacted police and the Humane Society. Soon, someone saw KGW's report about the dog and noticed the lab in a nearby field before contacting authorities.
