10:09 AM PDT on Friday, July 18, 2008
ALBANY, Ore. -- Authorities in Benton County say they're trying to identify a man found in the Willamette River in North Albany.
Sheriff Diana Simpson says the body may have been in the river for several days.
She says there was no apparent trauma, and an autopsy is scheduled.
A caller told sheriff's deputies about the body Wednesday afternoon.
It was about four miles north of Highway 20 when officers retrieved it.
Simpson says he was 35 to 50 years old, with a mustache and goatee. He was in cutoff jeans and had no identification.
