A drug-related investigation that began with a traffic stop last week in Lincoln County led officers to Marion County and has netted methamphetamine, cash and firearms, police said.

Five people have been arrested so far.

Brandy Delynn Wirth, 25, was arrested for probation violation and Justin Ray Luckini, age 31, was arrested on drug charges, said Oregon State Police Detective John Meister. Both were lodged in Lincoln County Jail.

Information developed in the initial investigation led authorities to Ellmaker State Park on Highway 20, east of Eddyville, where a vehicle was searched and police found more methamphetamine in addition to suspected forged identification.

Three suspects from the Gervais area were taken into custody and lodged in Lincoln County Jail on drug-related charges. They were identified as 33-year-old Omar Diaz Espino, 43-year-old Yoland Ybarra Perez and 25-year-old Anai Diaz-Lozano, Meister said. Three children were taken into protective custody by the Department of Human Services.

That, in turn, led officers to serve a search warrant at a Woodburn residence where they confiscated methamphetamine, approximately $10,000 cash, and other evidence. No one was arrested at that location so far.

Officers obtained additional search warrants and went to Espino and Perez’s Gervais residence, where they confiscated more cash, numerous firearms including rifles, shotguns, handguns, ammunition, and suspected forged identification.

They served a second search warrant the same day at a Woodburn area storage facility where officers confiscated firearms, ammunition, cockfighting equipment and other evidence.

The investigation continues and more arrests are anticipated.
