SALEM -- Two previously deported felons were among five people arrested in methamphetamine ring raid Thursday.

State officials also took an 8-year-old child during the raids in Beaverton, Woodburn, Salem and Keizer.

Marion County deputies said the investigation started when officers learned about the possible drug ring during a traffic stop about three months ago.

Local, county and federal agents took in more than $50,000 in cash, nearly three pounds of meth with a street value of around $90,000, two cars and drug paraphernalia.

Investigators said 31-year-old Alejandro Cabrera-Medel and Gilberto Castro-Ordinola had previous felony convictions and had been deported.

They, along with 31-year-old Patricia Guzman-Soto, Jaime Henandez-Limon, and Delores Castro-Ordinola, were all arrested and taken to the Marion County jail.
