Pizza Schmizza began considering a sale after the company’s CEO Doug Wetter fell ill, the site says.
Figaro’s has 100 stores with plans for more on the way. They specialize in take-and-bake pizzas.
Current CEO Ron Berger said he thought the two companies had similar business models and plans for the future. Pizza Schmizza Vice president Rick Glenn used to work for Figaro's.
Figaro’s has stores in 21 states.
