GRESHAM, Ore. -- A pedestrian was struck by a car in a Gresham intersection early Friday morning and rushed to the hospital.
The victim was later identified as 73-year-old Jay Imholete of Gresham. Investigators said he was walking across Division Street and was not in a crosswalk when he was hit by the car.
Imholete was transported to Legacy Emanuel Hospital with two broken legs and head trauma, but her injuries were not life-threatening, police said.
The driver of the car was not injured and was not cited.
The roadway was closed to all but one lane of eastbound traffic during the crash investigation.
