A Gresham teenage girl says she was groped by a stranger on a bike.

The teen told police the man rode past her, then came back and asked if he could touch her again. That's when she went to a nearby house.

“There was a man out working,” the teen told KGW, "so I was like: ‘please help me’.”

"She did the right thing, sought out a place of safety and security,” said Capt. Tim Gerkman. “That's what we encourage students to do.”

Officers looked for the groper but couldn't find him. Anyone with information about what happened was asked to call Gresham police.
