Portland homicide detectives were investigating a fatal shooting at an NE Portland apartment complex Wednesday night.

Details were still coming in but reports of a shooting at the Hazelwood Station apartment complex at 14715 E Burnside started coming into dispatch just before 8:30.

Portland Police Spokesperson Brian Schmautz said officers on scene found the body of a man in his 20’s on the third floor of the complex.

Homicide detectives called to the scene said the man appeared to have been shot at least once.

The deceased man had not been identified and no suspect information was available. An autopsy was scheduled for Thursday morning.

Schmautz said investigators would be on scene for several hours.
