Latwan Brown is wanted in connection to a shooting at a North Portland church on Friday, Dec. 12.

Latwan Brown, 30, was arrested Tuesday afternoon near his mother’s house in Hayward, Calif., a city south of Oakland.

Deputies said Brown had been charged with the death of Darshawn Cross, 31, a Portland resident.

Portland police believe Brown entered the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church on Dec. 12 during a funeral for Cross’s grandmother and opened fire.
