Deputies seize severely neglected horses in Prineville

PRINEVILLE, Ore. -- Deputies from the Crook County sheriff's office have seized nine severely neglected horses from a Prineville woman.
Authorities had received a report of horses being neglected and got a warrant for the seizure of the horses.
Deputy Travis Jurgens says nine horses varying in size, age and breed were seized. All the horses have varying medical issues.
The 43-year-old owner, Jennifer Debban, was cited on nine counts of animal neglect.
The Equine Outreach Horse Rescue, a nonprofit organization, assisted in the placement and care of the seized horses.
