Brush fires prompt evacuation notice at Bend subdivision

BEND --Neighbors from the Saddlewood subdivision in Bend were sent voluntary evacuation notices Monday due to a brush fire threat.

The evacuation notice was sent to keep people away from the area. Firefighters said it was mostly under control by about 7 p.m.

Crews said the fire was burning on about five acres. So far there was no word of any one hurt or any buildings burned.
