Bend police use deadly force against meth suspect

BEND, Ore. (AP) -- Deschutes County authorities say a person involved in a methamphetamine investigation is dead, and they have started an investigation into what they called "an officer involved use of deadly force."
Bend police say the incident happened about 12:30 a.m. Friday but provided few details.

According to bend affiliate KTVZ, it happened around 12:30 a.m. on the 1800 block of Northeast Wichita Way.
Neighbor Jamie Brink told the station she awakened to hear a woman shouting and later saw a Hispanic man being taken away in handcuffs.
Another neighbor said detectives apparently had been staking out the home for weeks.
They said no officers were hurt, and the victim's name has not been made public.
