Bend motorcyclist dies after getting thrown off bike

BEND, Ore. – A motorcyclist died Thursday after losing control of his vehicle on a Bend road, police said.

Raymond Paul Triplett had been unable to negotiate a curve in the roadway just north of NW Fire Rock Road, police said. The motorcycle left the roadway and Triplett was thrown from the vehicle.
Triplett was wearing his helmet at the time of the crash, according to police.
He was transported to St. Charles Medical Center, where he later died.
