Driver captured after Highway 20 chase

BLACK BUTTE RANCH, Ore. -- Spike strips stopped a Central Oregon man accused of trying to elude a state trooper on Highway 20.
The state police says Bruce Berryhill of Sisters sped away after Trooper Sean Belding smelled alcohol and started asking questions.
Berryhill crashed into a snowbank during the chase, but pulled back out started driving again at speeds exceeding 80 miles per hour.
But Black Butte Ranch patrol officer Mitch Elliot was able to set up spike strips that punctured all four tires on Berryhill's van.
The state police says the 49-year-old Berryhill was taken into custody after a brief struggle.
He was charged with driver under the influence, attempting to elude, reckless driving and recklessly endangering another person.
