PORTLAND, Ore. -- Comcast says the issue that left thousands without internet service across the country has been resolved.
Thousands of outages were reported Monday, mainly in large cities across the country, including Portland. The reports started at about 10 a.m., according to downdetector.com. By 2 p.m., the number of reported outages was less than five, down from a peak of more than 10,000 earlier in the day.
The majority of reported issues were for internet outages. Television and phone services were not affected as much.

Areas affected included Portland, Denver, Chicago, Seattle, New York, San Francisco, Houston, Minneapolis and Boston.
