PORTLAND, Ore. -- Olympian Kara Goucher says she'll run in the New York City Marathon, making her debut at the distance.

Goucher, who won the bronze medal in the 10,000 meters at the 2007 world championships, lives and trains in Portland under three-time New York City Marathon winner Alberto Salazar.

"My heart was set on New York," Goucher said. "And Alberto's heart was set on New York for me.
