PORTLAND -- Several Portland bridges were closed to drivers this morning for the 17th Annual Providence Bridge Pedal.
The event drew thousands of cyclists for a tour of ten Portland bridges.
The Morrison Bridge remained open throughout the event.
Traffic on the St. John's Bridge was down to one lane in either direction until 11 a.m.
The eastbound lanes of the Broadway Bridge were closed until 11:30 a.m.
The westbound lanes of the Burnside Bridge were closed until 11:30 a.m.
The eastbound lanes of the Hawthorne Bridge were closed until 11 a.m.
The top deck of the Marquam Bridge--I-5 northbound--was closed until 11 a.m. Traffic was detoured to I-405 northbound.
The Ross Island Bridge was closed to westbound traffic until 10:30 a.m.
The westbound lanes of the Sellwood Bridge were closed until 9 a.m.
The eastbound lanes of the Steel Bridge were closed until 10 a.m. The MAX operated on the bridge in both directions.
TriMet bus lines were affected by bridge and street closures during the event.
