PORTLAND -- Businesses eager to stage weddings for same-sex couples gathered at the Red Lion Inn at the Convention Center Sunday.
The Same Love, Same Rights Gay and Lesbian Wedding Expo returned to Portland for the second year, and it included more than 30 gay-friendly vendors to help couples plan their big events.
"It's nice to come to a place where these people are saying, ‘We don't care who you are or what your background is, we want to serve you,’” said Spike Huntington, who was planning a wedding. “So that's really nice.”
Last week Washington state passed a bill legalizing gay marriage.
