PORTLAND -- Several Portland bridges are closed to vehicular traffic this morning for the 16th Annual Providence Bridge Pedal.
The event is expected to draw thousands of cyclists for a tour of ten Portland bridges.
The Morrison Bridge will remain open during the event, though construction may slow traffic a bit.
Traffic on the St. John's Bridge will be down to lane lane in either direction from 7 until 11 a.m.
The eastbound lanes of the Broadway Bridge will be closed from 6:45 until 11:30 a.m.
The westbound lanes of the Burnside Bridge will be closed from 6:45 until 11 a.m.
The top deck of the Fremont Bridge--I-405 southbound--will be closed from 6 a.m. until noon; the bottom deck will remain open.
The eastbound lanes of the Hawthorne Bridge will be closed from 6 until 10 a.m.
The top deck of the Marquam Bridge--I-5 northbound--will be closed from 5:30 until 11 a.m.
The Ross Island Bridge will be closed to westbound traffic from 5:30 until 10:30 a.m.
The westbound lanes of the Sellwood Bridge will be closed from 5:30 until 9 a.m.
SW Salmon Street will also be closed SW 14th Avenue to SW 18th Avenue from 5 a.m. until 3 p.m.
