SALEM -- State parks officials said optimistic families may still find openings at the Oregon's reservation-only campsites for Memorial Day Weekend.
The bad weather will likely result in cancellations, said Sheri Miller of Northwest Call Center, which operates the reservation system for the state.
Bookings made by 5 p.m. Thursday will apply to Saturday night through the Memorial Day weekend.
Oregon also has 20-plus parks with campgrounds that are on a first-come, first-served basis. Miller suggested arriving at them on Friday.
Call (800) 551-6949 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday for information on vacancies.
