NEWBERG, Ore. – If you enjoy watching competitive boat races, you may want to visit the 62nd Annual Newberg Boat Races on Memorial Day weekend.
Entry into the event is free and will include everything from hydroplanes and power boats to runabouts & runnel boats, racing at speeds up to 100 mph.
The boat races will begin at 11 a.m. on May 29th and May 30th and continue until dusk.
The event is located on River Street, just off Highway 99W. Shuttle buses will take spectators from their parked cars to the actual race sites.
The event is a joint venture of the Newberg Boat Club and the Columbia Outboard Racing Association.
