MT. HOOD - Mt. Hood Meadows will hold a fundraiser for the ski resort's avalanche dog program Saturday.
“MazotFest” is a race that raises money for the avalanche rescue dog program. Participants race on a short course that ends at the Mazot, a bistro at mid-mountain.
Last year the event brought in more than $1,500 for the program, according to the resort's executive director Dave Tragethon.
A performance by resort favorite Joe Stoddard follows, with an Earth Day cermony between sets.
