PORTLAND -- North Portland's Mississippi Avenue Street Fair celebrates its eleventh year Saturday with food, music, beer, games and warm weather.
Five stages will showcase 32 bands and more than 275 vendors, along with food carts, a brew garden and a rib competition.
The street is closed to vehicle traffic from N Fremont Street to N Skidmore – parking is extremely limited and walking, cycling and taking mass transit are encouraged.
Organizers say since the fair is usually so crowded it’s best to leave pets at home.
