Oregon Brewer's Festival on Portland's waterfront

Jimmy Cliff with Trevor Hall at Oregon Zoo on July 23rd

Recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, reggae superstar Jimmy Cliff is playing at the Oregon Zoo on Friday, July 23, as part of his biggest North American tour in two decades. Trekkies in the Park

Jamie Cullum with Gin Wigmore at the Oregon Zoo Sunday

Jamie Cullum's jazzy covers of modern hits shot up the British charts in 2003. Though Cullum recently joined the ranks of thirtysomethings, his youthful exuberance hasn’t diminished.  Opening the show is New Zealand’s Gin Wigmore. PDX Bridge Festival

The PDX Bridge Festival kicks off Friday evening with a celebration at the Olympic Mills Commerce Center and a Saturday exhibit on the Hawthorne Bridge. PDX Bridge Festival

Traffic Alerts

From 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, the right two lanes of I-205's Glenn Jackson Bridge will be closed. The traffic impact is expected to spread to the I-5 bridge as well, with backups that may spread several miles. Expect freeway traffic jams this weekend.
