PORTLAND – A big weekend is brewing for coffee lovers in Portland.
The city is hosting the specialty coffee industry's biggest event of the year.
The Specialty Coffee Association of America's 24th Annual Exposition and Symposium started Friday at the Oregon Convention Center.
“Portland to me is the specialty coffee capitol of the U.S., more so than even Seattle or most other American cities,” said SCAA’s Tim Schilling. “Portland is the best coffee city in the world.”
Thousands of coffee professionals from more than 40 countries are attending the event. Organizers expect it to be the largest SCAA event ever. The event runs through Sunday.
