PORTLAND - As the seasons start forcing us to spend more time indoors, making home a better place seems like a good idea.

The place for inspiration this weekend is at the Fall Portland Home and Garden show at the Expo Center. Everything from interior design to outdoor landscaping will be on display, and if you're planning a project, the show is a good place to talk with contractors, designers and experts face-to-face. The experts from The Home Depot will be holding seminars on flooring, painting and home organization tips. And designers this year will show off the top 12 dining environments created by local designers. For those still working on outdoor designs - there will be a plant sale, with specialty and flowering trees, rhododendrons, azaleas, ornamental and flowering shrubs, perennials and bulbs. The show also hosts Oregon Friends of Shelter Animals where they bring dogs, cats and other critters needing a home. Thursday and Friday 11am – 8pm Saturday: 10am – 8pm Sunday: 10am – 6pm $10 Admission FREE to children 12 and under
