FOREST GROVE – A taste of the Middle Ages is coming to Forest Grove this weekend.

Sponsored by Pacific University's Department of History, The Barony of Dragon’s Mist of the Society for Creative Anachronism are putting on the Faire in the Grove Medieval village and reenactments at McMenamins Grand Lodge Saturday and Sunday.

Among the players will be armored fighters and maidens, jesters, smiths and cooks. The Fairegrove village will demonstrate life in the middle ages and beyond into the Renaissance, with music, crafting, food and merriment.

"The Medieval Faire in the Grove has truly become a Washington County tradition," event organizer and Pacific U professor Martha Rampton said. "It is a family-friendly opportunity for us to travel back in time and experience life in the Middle Ages and Renaissance."
