PORTLAND - Thousands will stream through Portland's Waterfront Sunday for the Race for the Cure. It's the 20th Komen Portland Race for the Cure to raise money and awareness for the fight against breast cancer, celebrate breast cancer survivors, and honor those who have lost their battle with the disease.
Volunteers and racers gather at 6:30 a.m. at Tom McCall Waterfront Park.
The American Cancer Society recommends women in their 20's and 30's have a clinical breast exam every three years, and every year for women age 40 and over.
