offering five chilling haunted houses for all age and scare tolerance
levels. Part of the proceeds from this event will benefit the American

Parker Farm's Halloween Spook Trail (Boring): 13220 SE 362nd Ave., Boring, Ore., (just east of Kelso Grade School.) Join the Sandy Mountain Festival for a night of blood curdling horror that will leave you screaming for more. Enter, if you dare, the haunted woods, home to numerous ghosts & spirits. Travel down the trail of terror and come face to face with the Unknown, where monsters lurk in every shadow. Wednesday and Thursday, October 29 & 30 from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. And Friday, October 31 and Saturday, November 1 from 7:30 p.m. to 11p.m. Admission: $5. Website: www.sandymountainfestival.org
13th Annual Washington School for the Deaf Haunted House (Vancouver): 611 Grand Blvd., Vancouver, Wash. A frightful delight awaits you at 13 CURSES. You will be greeted by ghoulish creatures and scary monsters as you make your way through the haunted house. All ages are welcome. Proceeds benefit WSD residential student programs. Friday, October 24 through Friday, October 31; 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Admission: $5.
Dr. Saito's Screamland (Oaks Park): Oaks Park in Portland. Screamland is the longest running of the Portland haunts. Runs nightly through November 1: Sun.-Thur. 7 p.m.-10 p.m.; Fri.-Sat. 7 p.m.-Midnight. Admission: $10. Website: www.screamland.com
House of Midnight (West Linn): Willamette Marketplace, 2000 8th St., West Linn. There are two attractions: Castle Bloodmor & Terror in Time Travel. This is the first year for these haunts created by several folks who used to do other haunted houses. Nightmare Factory at the Oregon School for the Deaf (Salem): 999 Locust St N.E., Salem. This is the 16th straight year for this haunted house, which usually features 11,000 square feet. The World's Cheapest Haunted House (Tillamook): 1204 Ivy, Tillamook, Ore. (in The Barn Community Playhouse.) It's perfectly suitable for all ages. More spooky than gory, but still PLENTY creepy! All proceeds will be used to maintain and improve The Barn Community Playhouse. Milburn's Haunted Manor (Hubbard): 11503 Broadacres Rd NE, Hubbard, Ore. First year for this haunted house built in a large barn. Runs Oct. 21 through Oct. 31: Sun.-Thur. 6 p.m.-10 p.m.; Fri.-Sat. 6 p.m.-Midnight; 6 p.m.-1 a.m. on Oct. 31. Admission: $7.50. Website: www.milburnmanor.com
Terrorville Haunted House (Colton): 30399 S. Grays Hill Rd., Colton, Ore. Runs Oct. 24 through Oct. 26 and Oct. 29 through Oct. 31: 7 p.m.-11 p.m. on Oct 31; 7 p.m.-10 p.m. other nights. Spooky Town (Beaverton): Westgate Theater, 3950 SW Cedar Hills Blvd., Beaverton. Spooky Town is the only outdoor haunt and is known for its amazing fire effects. Runs through Nov. 1: Weekends dusk to midnight; weekdays dusk to 11 p.m. Matinees for kids: Saturday and Sunday 1 p.m.-6 p.m. Admission: $8.
Hoffman Family Farms Haunted Barn, Pumpkin Patch, Corn Maze (Canby): 6815 S. Knights Bridge Road, Canby, Ore. In addition to the Haunted House, Hoffman's has a corn maze and giant pumpkins, including the world record pumpkin weighing 1,385 pounds. Fantasy Trail (Oregon City): Wenzel Farm,19754 South Ridge Rd., Oregon City. Great for all ages. Take a Halloween walk through a lighted, wooded, "Fantasy Trail", decorated with spooky sights and sounds. Walk through a 40 foot castle with Halloween scenes. Also, walk through a tunnel, maze and suspension bridge. Pumpkins and refreshments are available. Runs through Oct. 30: 12 p.m. - 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. daily, except Sunday. Phone 503-631-2047. Corn Maize at the Pumpkin Patch (Portland): 16511 NW Gillihan Rd, Portland. Visitors maneuver through a cornfield that is carved into intricately designed twisting, turning and dead-end pathways. Ghouls and ghosts invade the Corn Maze--waiting to frighten folks already lost in the challenging puzzle. In addition, there's a pumpkin patch, country store, mini-mazes, farm animals and hayrides. Mountain Air Mini Golf and Haunted Maze (Sandy): Hwy. 26 at mile-marker 36, east of Sandy. A nonscary maze is available for the youngsters when they play miniature golf and find their way through a haunted halloween maze. Open from noon to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, noon to 6 p.m. Sunday and 4 to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, through Oct. 31. Admission: $5. Phone: 503-622-4759.
Spooktacular Halloween at McMenamin's: October 31st at all McMenamin's properties from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Dancing, costume prizes, trick-or-treating, live music and dancing. Check out the McMenamins website or call McMenamin's for information on Halloween festivities at various McMenamins locations, including the Grand Lodge and Cornelius Pass Roadhouse.
Tiger Ball at The Oregon Zoo: 4001 SW Canyon Road, Portland. Dress up in your Halloween's Best for this dance party! Ticket price includes food, two drink tickets for beer or wine, plus the thrill ride "Dracula's Castle." Don't know what to do with your kids? Sign them up for a special Halloween ZooSnooze. Halloween at the Children's Museum: Children's Museum 2nd Generation CM2, 4015 SW Canyon Rd., Portland (Off Highway 26 in Washington Park.) Supernatural beings of various sizes and their parents will gather at the Children’s Museum – 2nd Generation on Friday, October 31 for a fun-filled Halloween celebration.
